The maximum usage temperature depends on the degree of capacity utilisation or the pre-treatment of the spring.
In the following table we have listed the
most common materials used in spring
manufacture which we usually hold in
stock in all standard wire diameters. The
most important points to consider when
slecting the correct spring steel from the
table are primarily whether the steel
maximum operating temperature and its
reaction in corrosive invironments are
suitable for the task in mind. We have
included a price index with the table in
order to give an impression of the
realationship between the prices of the
various materials. In the price index the
most common material „DH“ and „SH“
has been given 100 as a basic value.
